Exploring Colours
This project teaches children about colour theory by studying the colour wheel and colour mixing. It includes an exploration of primary and secondary colours, hues and how artists use colour in their artwork.

This unit introduces children to the fundamentals of the internet, including its purpose, how we access it, and how to use it safely and effectively. Through engaging activities, learners will explore the roles of browsers and search engines, websites and webpages and develop the skills needed to search for and evaluate information online.

Remarkable Recipes
This project teaches children about sources of food and tools used for food preparation. They also discover why some foods are cooked and learn to read a simple recipe. The children choose and make a new school meal that fulfils specific design criteria.

Let's Explore the World
This essential skills and knowledge project teaches children about atlases, maps and cardinal compass points. They learn about the characteristics of the four countries of the United Kingdom and find out why there are hot, temperate and cold places around the world. They also compare England to Somalia. Children carry out fieldwork, collecting primary data in their locality to answer geographical questions.
History
Movers and Shakers
This project teaches children about historically significant people who have had a major impact on the world. They will learn to use timelines, stories and historical sources to find out about the people featured and use historical models to explore their significance.

Music
Hands, Feet, Heart
This is a six-week Unit of Work. All the learning is focused around one song: Hands, Feet, Heart. The material presents an integrated approach to music where games, the dimensions of music (pulse, rhythm, pitch etc), singing and playing instruments are all linked. As well as learning to sing, play, improvise and compose with this song, children will listen and appraise different styles of South African music.

This unit builds on the coding skills and knowledge from Year 1. Children will explore, modify and create programs that includes the use of timers and button objects. They will build on their testing and debugging skills to ensure programs work as expected.

Spreadsheet
This unit teaches children the basics of using spreadsheets with 2Calculate, focusing on how to enter, organise, and manage data in rows and columns. Children will build confidence in formatting, carrying out simple calculations, using tools and creating block diagrams to present information clearly.

This unit lets children explore digital music creation through the use of the music tool, 2Sequence. Children learn about structuring a tune, creating music to represent a feeling and also making music to play in the background of a video clip.

This unit lets children explore digital art creation through the use of a digital art tool - 2Paint A Picture. Children learn about famous art styles and how a digital art tool can be used to reproduce art in that style. Additionally, children learn about the flexibility of digital art and how it can be shared with an audience electronically.

This project teaches children about fabric home products and the significant British brand Cath Kidston. They learn about sewing patterns and using a running stitch and embellishments before making a sewn bag tag.

This project teaches children about three types of mechanism: sliders, levers and linkages. They make models of each mechanism before designing and making a greetings card with a moving part.
