ClassDoJo

At Foundry Lane, we use ClassDojo to celebrate positive behaviour, recognise children's achievements, and keep parents and carers up to date with school life.
In line with our Behaviour Policy, pupils can earn Dojo points for demonstrating our three key expectations:
- - Be Safe
- - Be Respectful
- - Be Your Best
Each class also has a shared class target. Every point a child earns counts towards this target, and when the class reaches it, the children help choose their reward.
When children join Foundry Lane, parents and carers will be asked to sign up to ClassDojo and to agree to use it in line with our school expectations and policies.
Using ClassDojo Appropriately
ClassDojo supports good communication between home and school. We ask all parents and carers to use it respectfully and in line with our school policies.
ClassDojo is intended for day-to-day communication and for sharing and celebrating children's learning and achievements. It should not be used for urgent messages, reporting absences, or raising safeguarding concerns; please contact the school office for these.
At Foundry Lane, we do not use ClassDojo's messaging function. If you need to contact school, please get in touch with the school office, who will be happy to help or pass your message on to the appropriate member of staff.
By signing up to ClassDojo, parents and carers agree to communicate respectfully and to use the platform in line with the school's expectations and policies.

Checking Your Child's Dojo Points
Parents can see the points their child has earned without needing to pay for ClassDojo Plus.
Once a Dojo point has been earned, it will not be taken away. If a child's behaviour does not meet our expectations, this will be addressed in line with our Behaviour Policy, rather than by removing points already earned.
Children's individual points also count towards the class target. Class teachers set the target, and children help choose the reward they are working towards.
How to view your child's points
- Check the top-left corner of the app to make sure you are logged in as yourself, not your child.
- Tap Kids at the bottom of the screen.
- Select View Report.
- Under History, make sure All Records is selected to see your child's full recent points history.
If you cannot see this option, press and hold the menu and swipe right. You may also need to check that both your phone's software and the ClassDojo app are up to date.
