Wraparound Care (Acorns)
Bookings for our Wraparound Care provision, Acorns, are now available through Arbor. To book sessions, please log in to your Arbor Parent Portal App and select the dates and sessions you require. We recommend booking in advance to secure your child's space. You can book sessions for 2026/2027 from 3rd September 2026 to 21st July 2027.
We also accept childcare vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare payments. If you wish to pay using either of these methods and need any assistance, please contact the school office.

Breakfast and After-School Club
We understand how busy life can get, and how important it is to know your children are safe and cared for at all times. To help with the challenges of balancing work and home life, Foundry Lane Primary offers a fun, safe, and engaging wraparound care service.
Children are supported by a team of fantastic staff whose purpose is to ensure they enjoy fun activities, both indoors and outdoors, with access to homework support and the opportunity to make new friends.
Breakfast Club
A tasty breakfast, the most important meal of the day!
Breakfast choices include:

Breakfast Club offers a mix of free play and structured play, with a broad range of activities and the freedom for children to choose their own.
After School Club
We offer a broad range of activities, with the freedom for children to choose their own.
All children attending After School Club are offered a healthy snack and have access to water throughout their time with us. Our snack menu is updated twice a year, in September and at Easter, and will be available within the first 10 days of each term.

- Children should be brought to and collected from the Acorns Room via the Imperial Avenue entrance. Please press the intercom and wait for a member of the team to let you in.

- We operate a password system for the collection of all children. If someone different will be collecting your child, please ensure they know the password.

- We will not release any child into the care of anyone other than parents and carers, or those who know the password. If someone different will be collecting your child, please advise the school office in advance or call the Acorns mobile (collection is only permitted by those aged 16 and over).
Please note that completion of a registration form does not guarantee a place in Acorns.

During term time, the club is open during the following times:
- AM Session: 7.50-8.50am (last admission 8.15am)
- PM Session: 3.10-6pm
Prices and Payment
- AM Session: £3.25
- PM Session: £8.75
Payments for Acorns are made through the Arbor Parent Portal. We do not accept cash or cheques.
Fees are reviewed annually and agreed by the Governing Body. Parents will be informed in writing of any changes.
Payment Conditions
- - Pupils must be registered before bookings can be accepted
- - Fees must be paid in advance of children attending the club
- - Fees remain payable for children booked into the club who then attend an after-school activity, securing their place should the activity be cancelled unexpectedly
- - There are no concessions; the full price is charged regardless of pick-up time
- - Emergency bookings are only accepted once registration has been completed, with payment made at the point of collection
Payment of Fees
We are a cashless school, and payments should be made via Arbor, our online payment system.
We are also able to accept childcare vouchers as a form of payment for Acorns sessions. We are currently set up to receive vouchers from Sodexo, Co-operative, Fideliti, Arqiva, Edenred, and Computershare, but we are happy to set up payments with other voucher providers, so please let us know which provider your company uses. If paying by childcare vouchers, please use your child's name and the reference number shown on your invoice.
Childcare Support
Some employers offer a childcare voucher scheme, which can be used to pay for bookings and is exempt from tax and National Insurance. Employers can set up a childcare voucher scheme at a parent's request.
Some parents may also be entitled to Tax-Free Childcare or childcare tax credits, which can help cover the cost of wraparound care. For further information, please visit www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare or www.gov.uk/childcare-costs-help.
How to Register
Please register your child for Acorns, stating whether you require Breakfast Club, After School Club, or both.
