A group of children from Year 5 were invited to go and visit St. Mary's stadium for a writing activity morning.
The children had a tour of the stadium and the writing tasks included:
1. Writing 3 questions for a player who had scored 2 goals in the previous game. The children were able to role play asking the questions in the Sky Sports area. 2. In the Home changing rooms the children had to write a letter to the manager to explain why they would make a great captain for the team in the next game. 3. In the Away changing rooms the children were asked to prepare a half-time speech for their team who were losing 3-0.
All the children had a great time and they were engaged in all the activities. We are very proud of them.
