Mr Morgan would like to say a huge well done - to all the boys who represented Foundry Lane Primary School at the Under 11’s Mixed Premier League Schools Tournament on Tuesday 28th February 2017. A tremendous amount of effort, hard-work, commitment and togetherness brought the boys the outcome they deserved of being crowned winners. The boys will now go on to represent Southampton Football Club at Stamford Bridge in May 2017 – a fantastic achievement by all involved!

Gymnastics Festival - Key Stage 1

A great big well done to our KS1 children- Katie, Jack, Bailey, Olivia-Grace, Alice,Max, Hannah, Aiden and Olaf who did Foundry Lane proud at the gymnastic festival! We had a lot of fun trying out all sorts of gymnastics equipment including the air track, use of a spring floor, balances beams, trampet and a trampoline. A definate favourite of the whole group was bouncing off the trampoline into a large foam pit. Our session concluded by showing the other schools and coaches a short routine.  Great fun was had by all  and staff commented on how lovely and polite our Foundry Laners are.

I am super proud of you all, well done again from Miss Hampson.

More pics to come from our Year 3 and 4 children joining the festival next week.

School Football -

Foundry Lane 6 v 1 Freemantle

Foundry Lane were convincing in their outing against the side who knocked them out at the same round last year in the cup. Foundry Lane made a terrific start, with lots of fast-flowing football, as a result the lead was taken in quick fashion and the goals continued to flow.

Foundry Lane are eagerly awaiting to hear who they will face in the next round of the cup - this fixture will be played after Christmas.

PE - In Gymnastics - all children have been thinking about ways in which they can perform a range of balances - these have been performed both individually and as part of small groups. Here are the children today performing their individual balances on a range of apparatus.

Dance Mats - The Results - All children and staff 'competed' in the Dance Mats challenge last year. The results from across the city have been collated and here's how every year (and staff) performed...

A huge well done to the girls school football team - they competed against Abbotswood and Orchard school last Tuesday (4th) in a round robin event. The girls won their first match 1-0 and then drew their second 0-0.
