Do you have 3 to 6 hours a week for volunteering during school hours?
The prestigious Citizen Advice Bureau in Southampton is recruiting volunteers, especially residents of Eastern European origins, to train in various roles, starting this October.
Working as a volunteer for the Citizen Advice Bureau will give you the opportunity to gain excellent knowledge of local organisations where you would be able to signpost clients, and it will enhance your people skills, listening skills and ability to support people to find solutions to their problems.
Last year the Citizen Advice Bureau has helped 7069 people with over 17000 issues, ranging from housing, relationship, immigration, benefits and so much more. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Citizen Advice Bureau, and your work for the community will make a significant difference.
The flexible free training, depending of the role, involves a combination of study at home, observing experienced colleagues at the CAB office in King Street SO14 and the Central Library, and take part in training at the CAB main office.
Recruitment takes place until the end of September, with training starting in October.
