Friends of Foundry Lane Primary

Chair - Kristin Jones

Secretary - Marianne Piggin

Treasurer - Sid Rose

Friends of Foundry Lane Primary School is a registered charity, run by volunteers, raising money for the school to help with equipment and resources that enrich the children's experience and learning. We do this through running events aimed at bringing the community within school together.

The Covid-19 pandemic has meant that we have had to change the way we fundraise to keep everyone safe so our events over the last year have mostly been online. We do hope it won't be too long before we can all get together again for some fun in-person events. Scroll down for details of our festive fundraising events.

We are always looking for new volunteers and committee members to help organise events. If you would like to find out more please email friends@foundrylaneprimary.co.uk

Easter Egg Trail

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Easter Egg Trail (whether hunting or helping )

Together with uniform sales we’ve raised over £250, which is fantastic!

As well as raising funds for the school, it’s also been brilliant to see so many of you face to face again. We can't wait to have more events next term!

Christmas Raffle

Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets and helped raise over £800 for Friends of Foundry Lane!

You can see the raffle being drawn by Mr Taylor here https://fb.watch/9ZlaSt9-_d/

Festive Trail

Well done to everyone who completed the festive trail and sent in the answer. Congratulations to the winners. You can see Mrs Loftus announcing the winners here:

Thank you to the house captains for selling the trail maps in the playground last term and helping to raise over £100!

Reading Recommendation Bags

Friends were very pleased to be able fund to Key Stage 2’s reading recommendation resources! Each class has a BFG mascot, stationery, book and tote bag. One person from each class will be chosen by the class teacher to take the bag home and write a recommendation for their friends in the book. We hope the children enjoy discovering lots of new books!

Easter Egg Decorating Competition

Year R playground - installed February 2021

A special thank you to Freya and Riya from year R for opening the new playground last week. They cut the ribbon and gave the equipment a test run, posing for photos like real celebrities!

The replacement for the boat was long overdue and this equipment will be great for the younger children’s development.

We were joined by Will from Christ Church Fremantle, who so kindly donated the remaining money to make this project possible.

Thank you to all who have donated time, prizes and money to Friends’ fundraising efforts over the years - this is just the latest successful target and we look forward to more ‘in person’ fundraising to bring the community together again.

Read all about it in the Daily Echo:

Name Labels

Every year we are asked to label children's clothing and with that in mind, Friends of Foundry Lane have signed up with Stikins, the label people. The school will get up to 30% commission on all orders using the code 7494. So if you want to give them a try, please follow the link below. The code should automatically be entered for you, but if not please type in 7494 into the box beside School Fundraising Number. Thank you.

Ribbon cut on Thursday 2nd November 2017

Thank you to everyone that has helped raise money for The Tower. The children were all delighted to play on it after the ribbon was cut. Through the work of the Friends committee and all the children and parents that have supported the events, this has been made possible.
