Chair - Kristin Jones
Secretary - Vacant
Treasurer - Sid Rose
Friends of Foundry Lane Primary School is a registered charity, run by volunteers, raising money for the school to help with equipment and resources that enrich the children's experience and learning. We do this through running events aimed at bringing the community within school together.
The Covid-19 pandemic has meant that we have had to change the way we fundraise to keep everyone safe so our events over the last year have mostly been online. We do hope it won't be too long before we can all get together again for some fun events.
We are always looking for new volunteers and committee members to help organise events. If you would like to find out more please email email@example.com. We are also currently looking for a secretary (see below for more information).
Committee Vacancy - Secretary
We are looking for a new Secretary to join the Friends committee. The main role of the Secretary is to support the Chair in communicating with the school, to take minutes of meetings and to maintain accurate records. If you are interested and would like more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Friends of Foundry Lane Pumpkin Trail will be open from Saturday 23rd October to Saturday 30th October. There are 10 friendly pumpkins to find in windows on the route. The trail starts on the corner of English Road and Imperial Avenue and goes in a clockwise direction (if you want to find the pumpkins in order) but you can start at any point on the route. You can even do the trail in stages if you wish (it is just over 2 miles long).
Make a note of the address that you find each pumpkin at and send your answers to email@example.com with the subject "Pumpkin Trail". There is a printable Pumpkin Trail answer sheet that you can use if you wish but otherwise any piece of paper will do or you can type them straight into an email as you go. Don't worry if you don't find them all - it's the taking part that counts! One lucky entrant will be drawn at random to win a Crayola Stationery Set.
Happy pumpkin hunting!
Reading Recommendation Bags
Friends were very pleased to be able fund to Key Stage 2’s reading recommendation resources! Each class has a BFG mascot, stationary, book and tote bag. One person from each class will be chosen by the class teacher to take the bag home and write a recommendation for their friends in the book. We hope the children enjoy discovering lots of new books!
Thank you to everyone who joined in our Easter Egg Colouring Competition - we had some amazing entries

KS1 - 2nd Prize - Freddie 2G

Congratulations to everyone for some amazing designs! Prizes are on their way to the winners and don't forget to display your eggs in your windows for the holidays!
A special thank you to Freya and Riya from year R for opening the new playground last week. They cut the ribbon and gave the equipment a test run, posing for photos like real celebrities!
The replacement for the boat was long overdue and this equipment will be great for the younger children’s development.
We were joined by Will from Christ Church Fremantle, who so kindly donated the remaining money to make this project possible.
Thank you to all who have donated time, prizes and money to Friends’ fundraising efforts over the years - this is just the latest successful target and we look forward to more ‘in person’ fundraising to bring the community together again.

Ribbon cut on Thursday 2nd November 2017
Thank you to everyone that has helped raise money for The Tower. The children were all delighted to play on it after the ribbon was cut. Through the work of the Friends committee and all the children and parents that have supported the events, this has been made possible.
