Dear Parents and Carers
As previously advised, Year R will be able to return to school on Wednesday 17th July. As the Year R classrooms will be out of use for the rest of this term, please read the below email carefully to familiarise yourself with arrangements.
Drop off and collection points at the start and end of the day will be as follows:
RK - Please line up outside the fire escape at the rear of the new building, this is just opposite the bench outside the school office
RB - Please use the canteen entrance nearest the hall
RT - Please use the canteen entrance next to the staff car park
Unfortunately, due to space restrictions, parents will not be able to come into the canteen or the new building to settle their children this week. Please line up outside the doors as advised above. This will be a really positive opportunity to help with the children's transition to Year 1.
Wednesday 17th July - If your child is attending the disco after school, please bring in £1 and the children should wear their disco clothes along with sensible shoes to school. There will not be room for children to change at the end of the day.
Thursday 18th July – Don’t forget, children can wear their PE kits to school for Race for Life
Friday 19th July – Please wear school uniform as normal
Please do not bring in book bags this week as we won't have the space to store them.
Every child will need to bring a named, water bottle in to school each day please.
To avoid any upset or loss of toys or items from home, please do not bring in any of these items this week.
As the sunny weather is continuing, please ensure your child has sun cream applied before they come to school.
The children who are having hot dinners for the rest of this week will be able to eat in the canteen. Again, this is a really positive opportunity for them to prepare for life Year 1.
We appreciate that this is a lot of change for the last few days but we are confident this is going to be a really fun and exciting end to the school year. We would really appreciate you talking positively to your children about these arrangements so that they are prepared for the variety of experiences over the next few days.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of the above arrangements, please do not hesitate to ask a member of the Year R team or the school office.
With kind regards
Foundry Lane Primary School
